Terms and Conditions
1. These terms and conditions apply to your purchase of any tickets to Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens including:
a. Hall and Gardens tickets;
b. Gardens tickets;
c. Memberships;
d. Special events;
e. Guided tours; and
f. Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival;
2. In purchasing any tickets for entry into Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens other than for the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival, you enter into an agreement with Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Limited VAT NO 945 6560 93 burtonagnes.com registered charity 272796 registered company number 01293608.
3. In purchasing any tickets for the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival, you enter into an agreement with Burton Agnes Hall Trading Limited VAT NO 945 6560 93 registered company number 06633139. Burton Agnes Hall Trading Limited is a wholly owned trading subsidiary of Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Limited.
4. An adult is a person from 16 years old. A senior is a person aged 65 years or over. A student is an adult over 16 years who holds any type of valid photographic ID card showing they are in full time education. A child is a person from 4 years old to 15 years old.
5. Prices are inclusive of VAT. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets. Prices displayed on the site are subject to change without notice.
6. Opening hours, events and offers are subject to change and at times it may be necessary to restrict access to the facilities. While we will endeavour to publicise any such changes on our website and ticket offices, we strongly advise checking the relevant details by visiting www.burtonagnes.com or calling 01262 490324 before you visit.
7. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.
8. Tickets cannot be exchanged for an alternative date, where appropriate
9. When you purchase a ticket online a confirmation email will be sent to the specified email address. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure this email address is correct. Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens will not post any tickets purchased online. When your purchase has been confirmed your ticket reference is the email that you will receive. Please present this email when you arrive at the admissions desk. If you are unable to print this out, please show it on your mobile device or alternatively make a note of the 8 digit reference and bring along some ID.
10. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a ticket or entry to any part of Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens where it is reasonable for us to do so.
11. Tickets may not be resold
12. Any tickets or donation receipts which have been altered or defaced will be void.
13. Visitors will be admitted upon presentation of a valid ticket.
14. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
15. Please be aware that there are some areas in and around Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens, which are not quite level and areas where visitors could fall. Rather than put up signs to spoil your view or to restrict access to these areas, we want to keep things just as they were intended years ago. This relies on our visitors being alert to these potential issues and particularly keeping young children nearby and safe.
16. Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Ltd or Burton Agnes Hall Trading Ltd shall have no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by you or occurring to any items belonging to you, other than in the event of death or personal injury occurring to you as the result of Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Ltd’s or Burton Agnes Hall Trading Ltd’s negligence. Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Ltd or Burton Agnes Hall Trading Ltd will not be responsible for any loss or any expense due to circumstances beyond their control.
17. Drone filming is not permitted onsite without the prior consent of Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Ltd.
18. Commercial photography and filming in Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens may not be publicly distributed without prior permission of Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Limited.
19. Except where a wedding has taken place in Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens, wedding photography is not permitted within Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens unless the prior consent of Burton Agnes Hall Preservation Trust Limited has been obtained.
20. The use of tripods or selfie sticks is not allowed inside Burton Agnes Hall
21. Large bags and rucksacks are not allowed inside Burton Agnes Hall.
22. Dogs are not permitted inside Burton Agnes Hall, with the exception of assistance dogs. Dogs are permitted in the Gardens and Grounds. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
23. The use of BBQs - disposable or otherwise - is not permitted on site. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics, and we ask that visitors do not litter by using the bins provided or taking their litter home.
24. We may conduct security searches of persons, clothing, bags and other items, both on entry and exit in order to protect your safety and that of other visitors and staff.
25. The following items are prohibited within the boundary of the premises:
a. Any items which are or appear to be illegal.
b. Weapons, ammunition, explosives, horns, whistles, drums, fireworks, flagpoles, banners, balloons, sporting equipment, large umbrellas or any other item which in our reasonable opinion may cause danger or disruption to any event, to other visitors, or to staff.
26. Visitors are not permitted to bring food and beverages into Burton Agnes Hall.
27. As a condition of ticket purchase, visitors to Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens consent to being photographed, filmed or sound recorded for use on TV, websites, social media, DVD, webcast, promotional materials, or other public mediums, as part of the audience, or by security CCTV. Signs are put up to make visitors aware of when filming and photography is taking place. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed please do not remain in the area being filmed or photographed.
28. The following terms and conditions (a. to g.) relate to memberships.
a. Your membership card is non-transferable. It is for the use of the named member(s) only. Proof of identity may be requested on presentation of your membership card.
b. Your membership card must be shown on entry to the Hall and gardens, when attending events and when claiming discounts.
c. Your membership card does not entitle you to free entry at ticketed events. Places to special events may be limited and advance booking may be required.
d. Opening times may vary when a private or public event is held. If in any doubt, please contact us before travelling.
e. Your Buton Agnes membership is valid for a year from the date of purchase. If you cancel or do not use your membership during this time no refund or extension will be offered.
f. We will email or write to members paying via Direct Debit at least fourteen days before their account is debited.
g. Burton Agnes Hall reserves the right to change membership prices, conditions and benefits without notice. For full, up to date terms, visit burtonagnes.com.
